PIX11 News is pleased to announce meteorologist Rachel Frank will join PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship station, beginning next week. Frank, a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association, will deliver the weather forecasts for
the early part of PIX11 Morning News and report on weather and environmental issues for the station. Linda Church will continue to deliver weather for PIX11 Morning News from 6-9am. Frank will report to Mark Effron, VP/News.
Frank joins PIX11 from FOX CT, Tribune’s Hartford, CT station where she provided weather forecasts for the station’s 4, 5, 10 and 11pm newscasts. While at FOX CT, Frank won an Emmy Award for Best Weathercaster in New England. Frank joined FOX CT in October 2008 from WFMZ in Allentown, PA where she was the weekend meteorologist. Prior to that, she spent two years as the weekend meteorologist at WICU in Erie, PA.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Frank received her bachelor’s degree in Meteorology with a focus on forecasting. She graduated with honors, as a member of Chi Epsilon Pi, the National Meteorological Honors Society.
