Hites To Oversee Creative Services For All 42 Tribune Broadcasting Stations
Tribune Broadcasting today announced Marshall Hites has been elevated to SVP, Marketing and Creative Services, effective immediately. Hites will expand his responsibilities to oversight of the Creative Services of the company’s portfolio of all 42 owned or operated television stations across the country. Hites will report to Larry Wert, Tribune’s President/Broadcast Media. He will also remain involved in the marketing operations of KTLA5 in Los Angeles, working with President & General Manager, Don Corsini.
Hites joined Tribune in 2011 and has most recently served as VP, Creative Services and Marketing where he was responsible for creative oversight of KTLA5 as well as Tribune’s original 23 broad-cast stations. His 40-year broadcast career spans a variety of creative management positions, including CBS2/KCAL Los Angeles, WFTV Orlando, WFLA Tampa, KMOL San Antonio, WJKS Jacksonville and WJBF Augusta.
“Marshall has been an outstanding creative leader and television executive for KTLA and the Tribune stations previously under his purview. Now that Tribune’s broadcast group has increased in size, we are looking forward to the oversight and expertise he will bring to the station group as a whole,” said Wert.

Hites has won a multitude of prestigious awards for his work including: more than 20 PROMAX Gold Medallion Awards, 10 Regional Emmy Awards for Excellence in Television Promotion and numerous other industry awards. Hites has also twice been honored with the esteemed PROMAX Brand Builder Award.
He will continue to work out of Tribune’s Group Creative Facility based at KTLA5 in Los Angeles, where he currently resides with his family.
