Tribune Chairman and CEO Recovering from Surgery

Tribune Company (NYSE:TRB) announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dennis FitzSimons is recovering from successful prostate cancer surgery performed earlier today. He expects to return to work full time before the end of August.
“My prognosis is excellent, and I look forward to a quick and full recovery,” said FitzSimons. “Tribune has a strong, experienced management team that will continue to execute on our performance improvement plan during my absence. I will be engaged with them in that process.”
