PIX11 Wins 3 New York State Broadcasters Association Awards – Including Best Newscast and Best Hard News
Station Also Awarded Prestigious Community Engagement Award
PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York CW affiliate, has been awarded 3 New York State Broadcasters Association News Awards, including Best Newscast (PIX11 News at Ten,) Best Hard News Story and the Community Engagement Award.
The winners were announced at an award ceremony on June 18th at the Sagamore Resort Hotel, on Lake George in Bolton Landing. The annual NYSBA Awards recognize the best in New York State broadcast journalism. Founded in 1955, the New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) offers a variety of services to help the broadcasters of New York State better serve their communities; NYSBA also represents the interests of television and radio stations before the NYS Senate and Assembly, the US Congress, and various other legislative bodies.

PIX11 was also awarded a prestigious 2012 New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) Community Engagement Award for the station’s partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) that helped the non-profit expand its audience and raise additional funds to support critical cancer research has earned both organizations.
