WGN Radio and Allstate Announce Showcase Studio Partnership
The Voice of Chicago and Chicago’s hometown insurance company present the rebranded Allstate Showcase Studio
WGN Radio today announced a new partnership with longtime sponsor Allstate, bringing together two Chicagoland-based institutions that have been part of the community’s fabric for over 80 years. On May 1, the station’s historic Showcase Studio on Michigan Avenue will be unveiled as the Allstate Showcase Studio.
“We are proud of the partnership we have developed with Allstate over the years through programs like the community-driven WGN Radio Hometown Voices Tour and are pleased to extend that partnership to the Showcase Studio,” said Tom Langmyer, WGN Radio’s vice president and general manager. “The Showcase Studio has been a mainstay on Chicago’s famous Michigan Avenue for over 25 years and home to many legendary broadcasters. We are excited to announce this next chapter in WGN’s history with such a valued partner.”
Allstate’s sponsorship will include an interior studio wrap featuring WGN Radio and Allstate graphics and on-air naming recognition.
“As Chicago’s hometown insurance company, Allstate is thrilled to work with WGN, another hometown legend,” said Lisa Cochrane, senior vice president of Marketing at Allstate. “By expanding WGN Radio’s Hometown Voices Tour, we’re also broadening support of the local community, and the customers and Allstate agents who live and work here.”
The WGN Radio Showcase Studio originally opened on August 3, 1986 when the radio station relocated its studios from Bradley Place, which houses WGN-TV, to the Tribune Tower.
