WGN America Celebrates How I Met Your Mother SuperFans with New Social Media Campaign
Catch “Mother” Madness this March with WGN America’s newest How I Met Your Mother SuperFan social media campaign which incorporates fans of How I Met Your Mother on WGN America’s air.
Beginning today, HIMYM fans are invited to join the conversation and submit a video (1 minute or less) to WGN America’s Facebook page http://http://www.facebook.com/MeetatMacLarens explaining why they should be the next HIMYM SuperFan.
On March 25, we’ll narrow the SuperFans down to an “Elite 8,” who will be tasked with a new challenge: prove that you are truly the cream of the crop by submitting a video detailing your favorite HIMYM episode— proving your SuperFandom with your knowledge of obscure inside jokes and backstory.
On April 1st, we will reveal the “Final 4.” These top four SuperFans will be handed the keys to the network and will program a HIMYM marathon with their favorite episode (with an on-air snipe featuring their photograph and details on their favorite episode.)
All “Final 4” SuperFans will then be flown to New York to star in their own HIMYM campaign on WGN America. These SuperFans will be celebrated in on-air spots to run on WGN America throughout 2012 and in SuperFan video profiles on http://www.facebook.com/MeetatMacLarens and YouTube http://youtube.com/MeetatMacLarens.

HIMYM currently airs on WGN America Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (8-10pm E /5-7pm W,) and Sunday (7:30-10pm E /4:30-7pm W.)
