CASTING CALLS TO BE HELD IN GAITHERSBURG, MD AND ARLINGTON, VA ON MARCH 9 & 10
Local open casting calls for The CW’s “AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL” – CYCLE 19 will be held in Metropolitan Washington, DC on Friday, March 9th at Lake Forest Mall in Gaithersburg, Maryland from 5PM to 9PM; and on Saturday, March 10th at the Fashion Center at Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia from 10AM-3PM.
Cycle 19 is being dubbed the “college edition” of “AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL,” in which casting directors are looking everywhere from Ivy League campuses to party schools, from pre-med to pre-beautician, and from Big Ten to Pac Ten for girls from all walks of life, all parts of the nation, and all types of continuing education. The young women are invited to show their school spirit — and their modeling chops — to the local judges, and eventually to Tyra! The girls will vie for a prize package that will launch their modeling careers as well as help them continue to earn their degree. Tyra Banks has just graduated from the Owner President Management Program of Harvard Business School and was inspired to look for model potential among women attending all types of further schooling. Casting directors are looking for females, ages 18 to 27, of diverse backgrounds, shapes, sizes and with a minimum height requirement of 5’7” tall.
Local guest judges include: Paul Wharton, popular television personality and stylist, lifestyle trendsetter, author, producer and entrepreneur. And, Maggy Francois, Founder and Executive Runway Producer of Maggy Francois LLC, a full service event management firm specializing in fashion shows, corporate galas, fundraising events, social celebrations and soirees. Audition tapes will be sent to Hollywood for continued judging. DC50 TV will also be running a web promotion in which anyone who auditions on March 9th or 10th will be entered to win a prize package. One lucky winner will receive a $500 prize and appear in a promotional video which will be broadcast on DC50 during the season premiere of “AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.” Four runner-ups will receive $100.
