WGN America, Tribune Broadcasting’s national cable, satellite and telco network, has named Brian Carr the Vice President of Strategic Sales and Planning. Carr will be responsible for the strategic pricing, planning and stewardship process for WGN America’s advertising deals and will report into David Rotem, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Carr, who will begin his new position on March 12, will be based in WGN America’s New York headquarters.
Carr comes to WGN America from Viacom’s MTV Networks Entertainment Group where he held several senior positions including Senior Vice President of Pricing and Inventory for the Entertainment Group. Prior to his post at Viacom, Carr was at ESPN where he held multiple management positions, including Senior Vice President of Sales and Revenue Planning.
Carr holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University. He currently lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children.
