WGN-TV & CLTV to Execute Two Big Twitter Events This Thursday
This Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary of the ‘blizzard of 2011.’ To mark the occasion, WGN-TV will re-air its half-hour special “Snowed Under” at 9:30pm. The special will have an encore airing the following morning, February 2, on CLTV at 10:00am. Then at 10:30am on CLTV, viewers will be able to call in to 877-358-CLTV (2588) to share their stories and ask Tom questions during a special LIVE “Ask Tom Why.” CLTV will also take questions on Twitter via @CLTVNEWS (hashtag #Skilling). Additionally, the special and “Ask Tom Why” will be streamed at WGNtv.com and CLTV.com.
Also on Thursday morning, WGN Morning News will be conducting its first ever “live-tweet.” From behind-the-scenes mischief to straight up news events, viewers and tweeters everywhere will be able to interact with producers, anchors, reporters and each other LIVE during the show. This is one of the first such executions on a local television station in the country. Tweet activation will be evident by an on-air graphic containing the hashtag #WGNMorningNews. The twitter handles involved will be @WGNMorningNews, @Lashpot, @DeanRichards, @NancyLoo, @ErinMcElroy2, @FrankHollandWGN, @AnaBelaval, @PatTomasulo, and @PaulKonrad.
