Los Angeles Times Media Group’s Spanish-Language Publication Increases Focus on Local Online Coverage and Advertising Solutions
The Los Angeles Times Media Group’s Hoy Los Angeles today unveiled a new website – Hoylosangeles.com – devoted to providing Spanish-language news and information for Southern California.
“The launch of Hoylosangeles.com creates a singular online destination for local news and information of interest to Latinos in this area,” said Editor Reynaldo Mena. “As with our weekly print publications, our editorial mission is to provide coverage important to Spanish-speaking Angelenos and we can now deliver daily updates, breaking news and incorporate more multimedia storytelling.”
Hoylosangeles.com is a vibrant, locally-focused online source for news, sports, entertainment coverage, video stories and photo galleries relevant to Hispanic culture and lifestyle. The site will also now offer translated versions of pertinent stories produced by sister publication, the Los Angeles Times.
“Local online advertising is expected to enjoy annual double-digit growth through 2014 and Hoylosangeles.com is uniquely positioned to deliver an engaged Hispanic audience for advertisers keen to reach one of the most important marketplaces in the country,” said Publisher and General Manager, Roaldo Moran. “We are excited to launch our new site and provide advertisers with access to Southern California’s vast Spanish-language consumer population who are turning to online and mobile devices for local information.”
