WGN-TV Presents “The Chairman: Thirty Years with Jerry Reinsdorf”
WGN-TV will present “The Chairman: Thirty Years with Jerry Reinsdorf” during which WGN’s Rich King will sit down with the Chicago White Sox owner himself to discuss the ups and downs of leading baseball on the South Side for the past 30 years. The program is set to air on May 7, 2011 at 7pm.
Reinsdorf has also owned the Chicago Bulls since 1985, and after the 2005 Chicago White Sox World Series win, became the third owner in North American history to win a championship in two different sports. He commissioned the construction of the new Comiskey Park and endeavored to sell the naming rights to U.S. Cellular. He has donated millions of dollars in the past few decades to causes in the Chicago community, including both White Sox and Bulls charities. Reinsdorf is considered one of the most influential baseball owners in MLB history.
