WGN Radio’s Ultimate Learn-It-Yourself Day with Lou Manfredini
Free event this Saturday, March 26, 6 a.m.-2 p.m. at Addison Trail High School
WGN Radio’s “Mr. Fix-It” Lou Manfredini will host the Ultimate Learn-It-Yourself Day at Addison Trail High School field house (213 N. Lombard Road in Addison) this Saturday, March 26, 6 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will kick-off with a live audience broadcast of “The Mr. Fix-It Show” from 6 to 9 a.m., followed by an interactive exhibit area, open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
The event will feature an entertaining atmosphere of everything “Learn-It-Yourself” including home improvement, green living, organization and more. Attendees will be able to ask Lou Manfredini their personal home improvement questions, participate in “make & take” activities including paint-your-own canvas and mix-your-own homemade cleaning solution, visit interactive exhibit booths, and learn from informational seminars. The first 720 attendees will receive a free, reusable tote bag.
Sims Recycling Solutions will also be hosting a free drive-up electronics and appliance recycling drive in conjunction with the event from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Addison Trail High School parking lot, with $.02 per pound of everything collected being donated to the WGN Radio Neediest Kids Fund.
