WGN News ‘Decision 2010′ Coverage Begins at 5pm on Election Night
WGN News will offer continuous coverage of the U.S. Senate, gubernatorial and congressional races for Illinois, and the Cook County Board President race on WGN-TV, WGNtv.com, CLTV, CLTV.com and WGN America on Election Night, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 starting at 5pm until completion of the races.
- 5pm: WGN News election coverage will begin on WGN Evening News with Mark Suppelsa and Lourdes Duarte on WGN-TV and WGNtv.com with election news and reports from around the state.
- 6pm: WGN Political analyst Paul Lisnek will host a live call-in program on CLTV, which will stream live on WGNtv.com and CLTV.com
- 7-9pm: WGN Election Night coverage continues on CLTV with streaming on WGNtv.com and CLTV.com. WGN News’ Mark Suppelsa and Micah Materre will anchor.
- 9-10pm: WGN-TV and WGN America join CLTV, WGNtv.com and CLTV.com for a simulcast. WGN News will have live coverage from more than a dozen campaign locations throughout the Chicago area, downstate Illinois, and Indiana. WGN News’ Mark Suppelsa and Micah Materre will anchor.
- 10pm: Coverage continues on WGN-TV and CLTV, with live streaming on WGNtv.com and CLTV.com, running the rest of election night until major races are decided.
WGN News reporter Sean Lewis will rove the newsroom providing a unique look at election night from the inside. Chicago Tribune columnists John Kass and Clarence Page will be in-studio for live analysis throughout the night. Chicago Tribune cartoonist Scott Stantis will also be in-studio producing political cartoons and commentary. All commentators will participate throughout the night on-air or via live Internet chat.
