Comcast, one of the nation’s leading providers of entertainment, information and communications, and CLTV, the Chicago region’s only 24-hour local cable news channel, announced today that CLTV is now available to Comcast Digital Cable customers in the Rockford, Illinois, and South Bend, Indiana markets.
Comcast Digital Cable customers in the Rockford area, including Belvidere and Freeport can find CLTV on channel 10. Comcast Digital Cable customers in the South Bend area, including Rochester and Warsaw, can find CLTV on channel 53.
CLTV recently celebrated its 17th anniversary covering important news, weather, and sports stories throughout Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
“We look forward to bringing enhanced breaking news reporting to viewers throughout the region,” said Steve Farber, CLTV General Manager. “Combined with WGN-TV, we have the leading weather information and a tremendous commitment to stories of regional interest.”
CLTV’s schedule includes “Garrard McClendon Live,” a nightly issues-oriented talk program focused on giving viewers a chance to comment on stories of the day, as well as weekly feature programs “Homes Plus” and “Living Healthy Chicago.” CLTV also carries select Comcast SportsNet Plus broadcasts of Cubs, White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks games and encore replays of the WGN Midday News and WGN News at Nine.
“CLTV is a great addition to our robust offering of news and information programming available to Comcast Digital Cable customers in the Rockford and South Bend areas,” said David Williams, Vice President of Marketing for Comcast’s Greater Chicago Region. “We’re confident viewers will appreciate its round-the-clock coverage of Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana.“
