JOEtv is coming! On September 13th, Seattle gets rocked by a brand new TV station – JOEtv (KZJO). And this TV station is messed up, starting with 4 hours of Cartoons From Hell every Monday through Friday. That’s King of the Hill @ 5pm, followed by South Park at 6pm, then Family Guy at 7pm which leads into an hour of The Simpsons at 8:00pm.
“Finally, a TV station all about me – Homer Simpson! Oh sure, there are some other shows too – like the one with that stupid guy with the evil kid and the talking dog. But we’re on at 8 o’clock every night, so we win. Woo-hoo!” said popular TV personality, Homer J. Simpson.
JOEtv also programs the other twenty hours of the day. At 9pm, you can still get local news at an earlier and potentially more convenient time on Q13 FOX News @ Nine (where you can find out who really killed Kenny) and then follow it up with an hour of badass pay-cable faves Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm starting at 10pm. JOEtv replaces television station MyQ2 (KMYQ) but still features My Network TV programming five nights a week, just at a later time – from 11pm to 1am. My Network TV shows this fall include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Burn Notice, Without a Trace and Monk.
To cushion the blow of four hours of whacked animation every day, MyQ2 opens the classic animation vault and unleashes two Looney Tunes Marathons. The first clocks in at 11 hours on Labor Day (September 6th) from 10a-9p. The second counts down the 15 hours to the launch of JOEtv – airing from 2pm on Sunday, September 12th, to 5am on Monday, September 13th. Sticklers should note that there will be an hour intermission from 9-10pm for the news.
As of September 13th, most of Western Washington can find JOEtv on cable 10 and over-the-air on channel 22. For the sordid details and a program line-up, go to www.joeswall.com.
