Over the last two years, Dukes has served as vice president/content for broadcasting, growing the online and mobile audiences for the company’s 23 television stations. In his new role, he will focus on marketing Tribune Interactive’s products and services across all business units to consumers nationwide.
“We’re creating fantastic initiatives for businesses and consumers, and I’m looking forward to educating both sets of customers on what we have,” Dukes said. “Stand by.”
Prior to joining Tribune in 2008, Dukes held on-air positions and radio industry management roles in Tampa, Cincinnati, San Diego, Atlanta, and Chicago. He joined Wachovia Securities private client group in 2007.
Since joining Tribune Interactive in 2008, Friedman has held the post of vice president/interactive content, leading the creation and implementation of the company’s central online content engine, The Syndicate. In his new role, he will work with news directors across Tribune Broadcasting to grow the digital presence of the company’s television stations.
“I look forward to helping grow the digital brands of our television stations,” said Friedman. “Our television stations have great web sites and great ideas — this is a huge opportunity to share that knowledge across the company.”
Friedman’s experience includes eight years at Clear Channel Broadcasting where he worked with national and local radio and television stations to improve their online and on-air content and grow their web brands. He has also been a news director and reporter at several radio stations nationwide.
