FOX 17 Names Janice Allen as New General Assignment Reporter
FOX 17 has hired Janice Allen as a general assignment reporter for FOX 17 NEWS AT TEN and FOX 17 NEWS AT SIX.
“We’re thrilled to have someone of Janice’s caliber joining our staff at FOX 17”, said interim News Director Chris Koops. “She brings with her an outstanding background in reporting and anchoring. She’s a skilled storyteller, and her work shines in today’s multi-media digital environment. Janice spent part of her childhood in Grand Rapids, and we’re looking forward to being a part of her return to the West Michigan community.”
Prior to coming to FOX 17, Janice was a reporter and fill in anchor for WANE in Fort Wayne, IN where she worked for three years. She also worked as a reporter for WTHI in Terre Haute, IN.
“I’m so excited to be back in Grand Rapids as a new member of the FOX 17 News team”, said Janice Allen. “I can’t wait to meet new people and cover the stories and important issues affecting West Michigan.”
Janice has a Bachelor of Arts in both Broadcast Journalism and Communication Studies with a Media Emphasis from Northern Illinois University.
