The June Arbitron radio ratings released today show strong ratings for WGN Radio among listeners 12+ and 35-64. Among overall listeners 12+ Mon-Sun 6a-12a, WGN is ranked first with a 6.1 share in June.  In the 35-64 demo Mon-Sun 6a-12a, WGN also ranked first with a 5.9 share. The total reach of the station is up 22% from June 2009 to June 2010, increasing from 1,368,900 to 1,674,400.

Morning drive host Greg Jarrett shows strong improvement both month-to-month and year-to-year, ranked first among overall listeners 12+ Mon-Fri 5-9 a.m. with a 9.7 share, up from a 9.0 share in May 2010 and an 8.7 share in June 2009. Greg ranks second 35-64 Mon-Fri 5-9 a.m. with a 7.9 share, up from a 6.9 share in May 2010 and a 6.7 share in June 2009.

John Williams ranked third among overall listeners 12+ Mon-Fri 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a 5.0 share.  He also made great strides in the 35-64 demo, ranking third with a 4.5 share compared to 2.9 in June 2009 and 3.9 in May 2010.

Garry Meier also continues to show strong ratings in afternoon drive without the influence of Cubs baseball. On days when the Cubs games weren’t broadcast 3-6 p.m., Garry ranked second 12+ with a 5.1 share and third 35-64 with a 5.4 share.
