JUMBLE® Word Games Now Available on Amazon Kindle Platform
Tribune Media Services, Inc. (TMS) and Puzux, LLC today announced the launch of a new series of Jumble® puzzle collections for the Amazon Kindle device. The puzzle collections will be available beginning June 7 through the Amazon Kindle store and will be playable on all Kindle devices. TMS is a subsidiary of Chicago-based Tribune Company. Puzux is a Berkeley, California-based startup.
The Jumble collections will be offered in three formats and price points: Standard (10 puzzles for $0.99), Large (25 puzzles for $1.99) and Giant (50 puzzles for $3.49). Each puzzle will employ the familiar newspaper Jumble game play, including four basic jumbled words and a jumbled bonus phrase tied to a cartoon illustration clue. TMS provides the Jumble puzzle clues, answers and illustrations. Puzux provides the technology platform that enables the puzzles on Kindle devices and publishes the puzzle collections in the Kindle store.
Jumble is one of America’s top word puzzles. The puzzle appears daily in nearly 600 newspapers in the United States and abroad and is available in interactive format online on sites such as Shockwave.com, uClick’s Puzzle Society, Yahoo games and AOL’s www.games.com. Jumble is also available on iTunes for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices, as well as on the AT&T and T-Mobile cellular services. Jumble is featured in print in both standard formats (Triumph Books and Andrews-McMeel) and in new Bible and inspirational themes published by Tyndale Press. Jumble is also available in daily calendar and board game formats.
TMS is not a newcomer to the Amazon. The company has offered themed magazines on the Kindle for two years, including Opinionated, featuring political commentary, CASH, featuring articles on personal finance and money management, and PopMatters, featuring independent reviews and articles about popular culture.
