Channel 39 News Now In High-Def
An in-house investigation is underway at this hour at KIAH-TV, Houston resulting from an instantaneous switch in broadcast format. On the previous Sunday, Channel 39 News suddenly started broadcasting in High-Definition(HD). All local news programming at Channel 39 is now broadcast in HD.
Explanations offered so far include signal refraction from the huge oil slick in the Gulf, just great Mother’s Day Karma, or possibly some new equipment that seems to have been installed in the station’s master control area.
“We’ve had a lot of traffic in and out of the station the past few days and we suspect it might have been some of them,” said a station spokesperson. “It also appears that some news set pieces have been replaced. With that said, the HD broadcast with new set really looks good, so we’ve decided to go with it.”
Results of this investigation, along with complete DNA analysis of this person that fathered this transition to HD, are expected to be revealed on a future episode of “Maury”.
If available, publicity clips of this episode will be shown on Channel 39 News, weekdays at 5 and every night at 9…and now both are in HD!
