South Florida, April 5, 2010 – In a recent announcement, Avido Khahaifa, current General Manager at Orlando Sentinel, was named SVP, Director of Content/Orlando Sentinel and Sun Sentinel.

With a 20 year history at Sun Sentinel Company, Avido’s career at the Tribune papers began with a variety of roles in the Sun Sentinel Editorial department. He’s now looking forward to working closely on content with what he describes as “our talented newsrooms” in both Orlando and South Florida.  

Avido’s experience with Sun Sentinel Company includes a variety of leadership roles such as VP and Managing Director of Sun Sentinel in Palm Beach County as well as President of Forum Publishing Group. In his new expanded role, Avido will oversee the editorial content for the Orlando Sentinel and Sun Sentinel’s newspaper and digital platforms as well as continue in his current role as General Manager/Orlando Sentinel, managing the day-to-day operations.
