Superstation WGN Names Byron Chapin Account Executive and Dana Dernard Account Service Representative
NEW YORK, February 7, 2007 — Superstation WGN, the Tribune Broadcasting satellite and cable TV unit, has elevated Byron Chapin to Account Executive and Dana Bernard to Account Service Representative, effective immediately.
Chapin, who was formerly Superstation WGN’s Account Service Representative, has been with the company for seven years. In his new role as Account Executive, Chapin will be handling New York City metropolitan area media agencies including OMD and ICON. Chapin began his career with Superstation WGN as a Sales Planner, and was later elevated to Manager of Pricing and Planning. In 2006 he was named Account Service Representative where he functioned in a sales capacity.
Chapin holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from George Washington University. He currently lives in Bergen County, NJ with his wife.
Bernard, in her new role as Account Service Representative, will be responsible for handling accounts across a wide variety of small and medium sized agencies while also pursuing new business opportunities. She joined Superstation WGN in 2001 as a Senior Research Analyst, later moving to Sales Planner. Just prior to her promotion to Account Service Representative, Bernard was Superstation WGN’s Senior Sales Planner where in addition to the Planning duties; she served as the back-up for Director of Planning and Operations and trained the company’s sales planners.
Bernard holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts from St. John’s University. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Both Chapin and Bernard will remain in Superstation WGN’s New York office.
