NEW YORK, February 15, 2007 — Superstation WGN, the Tribune Broadcasting’s nationally distributed cable and satellite network, has named Chris Gilpatric Vice President, Director of Affiliate Relations.
Formerly the Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Western Region for Superstation WGN, a position held since 2004, Gilpatric’s promotion is effective February 19, 2007. In his elevated role, Gilpatric will be responsible for managing affiliate relations and marketing, ensuring the achievement of distribution goals within the cable and satellite industries for Superstation WGN. Gilpatric will relocate with his family from Los Angeles to Superstation WGN’s New York office, where he will report to Bill Shaw, General Manager of Superstation WGN.
Gilpatric joined Superstation WGN in 2002 as Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Western Region and was later promoted to Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Western Region where he was responsible for 15 states.
Prior to joining Superstation WGN, Gilpatric was a Senior Account Executive at ESPN. He began his cable career at The Weather Channel as Western Division Sales and Marketing Coordinator after holding production positions at DreamWorks Television and Warner Bros. Television.
Gilpatric holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
