Chicago Tribune Names Rebecca Brubaker Vice President/Operations
CHICAGO, March 21, 2007 — Chicago Tribune announced today that Rebecca (Becky) Brubaker, vice president/circulation and operations at the Daily Press in Newport News, Va. since 2004, has been named vice president/operations at Chicago Tribune. She assumes the responsibilities of Tony Hunter who was named senior vice president/circulation and operations at the Tribune yesterday.
“Becky’s extensive experience in newspaper operations and her leadership capabilities will be valuable as we implement key strategic initiatives such as increased color printing capacity and increased preprint targeting capabilities. She will also have an immediate impact in providing customers with excellent customer service,” said Tony Hunter, senior vice president/circulation and operations.
Prior to her position at the Daily Press, Brubaker served as director/circulation planning and operations for Chicago Tribune. She also held numerous operations positions including production director, prepress director and process improvement director, and shared joint responsibility for a major plant expansion project.

Brubaker began her career with the Tribune Company in 1993 when she joined the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale, Flor. At that paper, she held numerous management positions in press operations.
