WASHINGTON D.C., July 16, 2007 — WGN Radio has been named as a finalist for the NAB Marconi Radio Awards in the category of Major Market Station of the Year.

The winners will be announced on September 27 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show held during the NAB Radio Show at the Charlotte Convention Center.

The other finalists in the Major Market Station category were KHKS-FM in Dallas, Texas; KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, California; WBLS-FM in New York, New York; and WSB-AM in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to 2007, WGN Radio most recently won the News/Talk/Sports Station of the Year Award at the 2004 awards ceremony. The NAB Marconi Radio Awards honor the country’s top radio stations and on-air personalities for “overall excellence in radio.”
