DALLAS, July 18, 2007 — The Texas Association of Broadcasters has honored KDAF-TV/CW33 with the “Bonner McLane Public Service Awards” for Excellence in Community Service, Large Market.
The Bonner McLane Public Service Awards, named for TAB’s longtime executive director who died in 1987, recognize Texas radio and television stations that have made outstanding public service contributions – stations that have made a difference in their community. TAB presents seven awards each year for outstanding public service in different market size categories for radio and television CW33’s Vice President/General Manager, Joseph A.Young says, “It’s always great to be recognized by our peers, but we feel like it’s the Dallas/Fort Worth community that really wins.”
A trophy will be presented at The Community Service Awards Breakfast in Austin, Texas on August 9, 2007.
