CHICAGO, August 20, 2007 — WGN Radio News presents a three-part series, “Higher Standards”, which will air Wednesday, August 22 through Friday, August 24, during the 7 a.m., 5 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts each day.
As the city is putting more muscle behind its investigations of police misconduct, WGN Radio Reporter David Stewart looks at the problems that led to the overhaul of the Office of Professional Standards. The series will also examine how OPS is being changed, and how technological advances will be used to augment the investigations of claims of excessive force. Stewart is WGN Radio’s veteran City Hall reporter and afternoon anchor.
