Fox 61 News at Ten Wins Ratings
HARTFORD, AUGUST 22, 2007 — Fox 61 News at Ten was watched by more key news viewers than any other 10 or 11 pm Connecticut newscast in July. According to research just released by the benchmark independent research firm, Nielsen Media Research, on an average night more people between 18 and 49 and between 25 and 54 watched Fox 61 News at Ten, than any other late newscast.
This is the third consecutive ratings period that Fox 61 News at Ten has lead the late news ratings in Connecticut. In addition to being a consistent market leader, Fox 61 News at Ten was recently honored with five Emmy Awards, more than all the other Connecticut news organizations combined. In April the station was also the recipient of two prestigious awards from the Associated Press.
Richard Graziano, Vice President and General Manager of Fox 61, WTIC-TV said, “I think the numbers reflect our commitment to covering the stories that affect Connecticut. There were several major stories that impacted our community greatly and made national headlines. Once again viewers turned to our award winning news team. It’s a major testament to the hard work and skilled professionalism of all of the people at Fox 61.”
