CHARLOTTE, September 27, 2007 — WGN Radio took top honors at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2007 Marconi Radio Awards. At the ceremony, held September 27 in Charlotte, North Carolina, WGN Radio was named Major Market Station of the Year.

“The WGN Radio family is honored to receive this prestigious award from our industry peers. Our long tradition of live and local programming for Chicago and community service is a mission we take very seriously”, said Tom Langmyer, Vice President/General Manager of WGN Radio.

The other finalists in the Major Market Station category were KHKS-FM in Dallas, Texas; KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, California; WBLS-FM in New York, New York; and WSB-AM in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to 2007, WGN Radio most recently won the News/Talk/Sports Station of the Year Award at the 2004 awards ceremony. The NAB Marconi Radio Awards honor the country’s top radio stations and on-air personalities for “overall excellence in radio.”
