Fox 61 Names Maureen Fitzgerald Executive Producer of the Fox 61 Morning Show
HARTFORD February 7, 2008 — Fox 61 WTIC-TV continues to strengthen their growing morning news team with another Connecticut television professional. Emmy nominee Maureen Fitzgerald has been named Executive Producer of the Fox 61 Morning Show launching in March. Fitzgerald made her name in the state at NBC 30 as Special Projects Producer, AM Senior Producer and 5 p.m. Producer. She is a familiar face to both morning show anchors, Logan Byrnes and Rebecca Stewart. Fitzgerald and Byrnes recently worked together at NBC 30 and she and Stewart teamed up at WSLS-TV in Roanoke, VA, prior to coming to Connecticut.
“We are extremely pleased to get someone with Maureen’s talents and experience. Maureen will bring a high level of professionalism and energy to the Fox 61 Morning Show and a commitment to provide the best news, weather and traffic coverage to Connecticut viewers,” said Richard Graziano, Vice President and General Manager of Fox 61.
Previously Fitzgerald was the Public Affairs Producer for Fox 45 WBFF in Baltimore, MD. Most recently she was a Marketing Communications Specialist at Blum Shapiro in West Hartford.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to build an entirely new morning show in Connecticut and work with a team I know so well,” said Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications and Spanish in 1998 from Towson University in Maryland.
