HARTFORD February 28, 2008 –Starting with the premiere of the Fox 61 Morning Show, 6-8 am this Monday, Fox 61 WTIC-TV and WTIC News/Talk 1080 will team up to bring Connecticut even more extensive weather coverage. This groundbreaking agreement merges their two great weather operations into one WTIC Weather Center. As well as the previously announced addition of WTIC News/Talk 1080’s Joe Furey as meteorologist for the Fox 61 Morning Show and Bob Cox as weekend meteorologist for Fox 61 News at Ten, the radio station’s Sam Sampieri will fill in on air and Steve Chapron will help with reports behind the scenes.

When severe weather hits Connecticut, Fox 61’s Chief Meteorologist Garett Argianis will provide WTIC News/Talk 1080 additional evening coverage in addition to his reports for the Fox 61 News at Ten. The joint venture will expand both Fox 61 and WTIC News/Talk 1080’s presence in Connecticut and provides a wide platform to showcase the tremendous talent of the whole weather team.
