Fox 61 Morning News Names Nicole Jacobs as Reporter
HARTFORD April 30, 2008–Fox 61 Morning News has named Nicole Jacobs as General Assignment Reporter effective immediately. Jacobs relocated to Connecticut from Greensboro, NC at WXII – TV, an NBC affiliate, where she was a General Assignment Reporter. There she delivered breaking news, developed local packages and covered national stories such as the Virginia Tech Shooting and Missing Boy Scout in the N.C. Mountains.

Prior to working at WXII – TV, Jacobs was employed as a Reporter, Producer and Editor at WLFL-TV in Raleigh, NC, where she covered the early stages of the Duke Lacrosse Players story, coordinated live shots and wrote the 30 minute live weekend newscast. Before beginning her career in journalism Ms. Jacobs was a middle school teacher in Grifton, NC where she taught reading and math.

Jacobs graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and a minor in Spanish.
