Fox 17 Morning News Names Tracy Forner as New Co-Anchor
GRAND RAPIDS, June 10, 2008 –FOX 17 WXMI has hired Tracy Forner as the co-anchor for FOX 17 Morning News. He will debut in that capacity on August 18th.
Tracy will broadcast each morning with Sarah Brodhead, who joined the FOX 17 Morning News program in March 2008. Prior to coming to FOX 17, Tracy was the early morning co-anchor at WXIN FOX 59 in Indianapolis, IN for five years.
Tracy is no stranger to West Michigan. He is a Hart, Michigan native and graduated with a B.A. in communications from GVSU where he also served as an adjunct professor in the communications department. In addition he worked at various Grand Rapids radio and television stations from 1992-2000, including WLAV, WLHT and WZZM.
“We have made some dear, lifelong friends in Indiana, but we’re FROM West Michigan”, said Tracy Forner. “Our family is here. Our best friends have always been here. We always knew we wanted to move back, we just didn’t know if the right opportunity would present itself. Man, did it ever.”

Tracy and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children, Ailish, Duncan, and Beckett.
