David Duitch Named News Director at KDAF-TV
DALLAS, July 10, 2008 –KDAF-TV today named award-winning broadcaster David Duitch as its news director. Duitch joins the station from Belo Corp. where he served as vice president of its Washington Bureau since 2005, overseeing newspaper, television and online operations originating from the nation’s capital.
“We’re extremely excited to have someone of David’s unparalleled experience and stellar track record to lead our news efforts into the future,” said Joe Young, vice president/general manager at KDAF-TV.
Prior to his work with the bureau, Duitch served in various news positions at stations across the country, including news director at WFAA-TV for five years. His newsrooms have received numerous honors for outstanding work including duPont-Columbia Awards, Peabody Awards, National Edward R. Murrow Awards, Walter Cronkite Awards for Excellence in Television Political Journalism and countless Regional Emmy Awards.
“The Dallas-Fort Worth market is so robust with a great audience. Duitch graduated magna cum laude and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University. He is married with two children.
