WSFL-TV Searching for On-Air and Behind the Scenes Talent
MIAMI / FT. LAUDERDALE, July 23, 2008–WSFL-TV is launching a new morning show in January 2009 and we’re searching for on-air and behind the scenes talent. On Saturday, August 9th, we are bringing our search to the people when Nova Southeastern University hosts an open casting call we’ve aptly titled – The Morning Showoff. Hopefuls will have three minutes to impress a panel of judges with their knowledge of news and pop culture and their ability to deliver a populist point-of-view in a humorous and engaging way. If you wow the judges with your knowledge and wit, you’ll get a “golden mic” and be invited to callbacks on Sunday, August 10th.
This won’t be your typical straight-laced, stuffed-shirt morning news program so Walter Cronkite wanabes need not apply. WSFL-TV’s new morning show is about the information you need to know and the information you want to know. The show will cover the entire region, from Dade to Broward County. Viewers will get a daily dose of what’s hot and happening in South Florida, across the country and around the world.
The Morning Showoff, WSFL-TV’s morning show talent search, takes place Saturday, August 9th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm (callbacks Sunday, August 10th, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm) at Nova Southeastern University. For individuals unable to attend the open casting call, WSFL-TV will also accept pre-taped auditions through YouTube. A complete list of rules and regulations is available at www.cwsfl.com .
