PHILADELPHIA, September 5, 2008 –On Monday, September 8th, myphl17 will debut a new morning lifestyle magazine show entitled Better Philly. This nationally syndicated one hour show will air weekdays at 8am and hails from Meredith Corporation, known for brands like Better Home and Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, More, Family Circle, Fitness, Parents and more. Each broadcast will feature as many as two local segments produced by myphl17 consisting of fashion shows, cooking demonstrations and “how to” pieces with local flair. National stories will originate from New York and Better TV affiliates throughout the country. Topics will range from health and beauty, fitness, style, entertainment, parenting, home trends and relationships.

Local Philadelphia area residents, Renai Ellison, Megan Gunning and Joe Ceccola will serve as both hosts and reporters of the locally produced segments of Better Philly. Ellison, Gunning and Ceccola were selected from over two-hundred people who auditioned at an open casting call held this summer at myphl17 studios. Audra Lowe and Kimberly Maus will host the national features.

Locally produced segments will originate from myphl17’s newly renovated studio which also includes a fabulous working kitchen designed by Ikea. Pieces will also be produced in the field. Below please find photos of our new Better Philly set and kitchen area.
