CHICAGO, February 16, 2009 –WGN-TV announced today its 2009 broadcast schedule for the Chicago White Sox. WGN-TV will produce 55 Chicago White Sox baseball telecasts, including 30 games to air on WGN-TV and 25 games to air on WCIU. All regular season White Sox games will be broadcast in HD. A complete WGN-TV/WCIU White Sox broadcast schedule is attached. All games are CST.

Play-by-play announcer Ken “Hawk” Harrelson is joined this season by color analyst and former White Sox pitcher Steve Stone, who returns to the TV booth on WGN-TV and WCIU. The WGN Sports Emmy award-winning production team will produce all WGN-TV and WCIU White Sox games.

WGN-TV (Channel 9) is Chicago’s CW network affiliate, programming a strong schedule of news, sports and entertainment. WGN’s digital signals are available throughout the Chicago area on WGN-DT, with most WGN Sports telecasts, WGN News and CW programs in high definition on Channel 9.1 (AT&T U-verse 1009, Comcast 192, DIRECTV HD 9, DISH Network HD 9 & 6316, RCN 513 and WOW 206); and LATV on Channel 9.2 (Comcast 245 and WOW 197). Outside the Chicago area, WGN America is carried nationally via cable, telco and satellite.
