FOX 17 has hired Lauren Unger as a general assignment reporter for FOX 17 NEWS AT TEN and FOX 17 NEWS AT SIX.
“We’re lucky to add someone with Lauren’s experience to our staff”, said News Director Tim Dye. “She has worked as a reporter and anchor in a couple of very competitive markets and we believe she will bring a strong journalistic approach to her work at FOX 17.”
Prior to coming to FOX 17, Lauren was a reporter and morning anchor for FOX 44 in Baton Rouge where she covered hurricanes Ike and Gustav as well as Louisiana’s first significant snow fall in several years. She also worked as a reporter and fill in anchor in Trenton, NJ.
Lauren grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh. She is happy to be back up north and is even looking forward to a white winter.
